WHO WE ARE

Amar Dokan is a social impact venture under Direct Fresh Limited, created to ensure that every worker in Bangladesh’s garment and manufacturing sector has access to affordable, quality food right where they work.

Born out of Direct Fresh’s Food for Life initiative, Amar Dokan operates fair-price grocery outlets within or beside factory premises. These shops enable workers to purchase daily essentials at 7% – 10% lower prices than local markets, with the flexibility to buy on salary-linked credit.

Our model is built on technology, transparency, and trust. Every purchase is digitally recorded through a POS system integrated with the worker’s factory ID, ensuring accountability and financial security for both employer and employee.

With a rapidly growing footprint, Amar Dokan is currently serving over 100,000 workers across 11 active outlets, and aims to reach 300,000 workers by next year.

We believe that access to good food is not a privilege it’s a right. Amar Dokan stands as a bridge between corporate responsibility and community wellbeing, helping factories strengthen worker welfare while building a healthier, happier, and more productive workforce.
